That is where it is decided. In a difficult conversation, the salesperson gets drawn into the other person’s emotion, reacts instead of responding, and adds fuel to the fire. The module teaches how to understand where the emotion across the table comes from, how to respond more thoughtfully, and how to calm rather than inflame. For the team to get something out of it, the disagreement has to leave a trace: the next person does not unknowingly reopen the same subject. This is what we call the gearing: your people, your processes, your methods and your tools driving each other, with as little friction as possible. We work on this part separately, in advisory, before the training or after.
By not joining them in their anger. The first natural reaction is to defend yourself or counter-attack, and that is what adds fuel to the fire. The right reaction is to understand where the emotion comes from, often a disappointed expectation or a fear, to receive it without being overwhelmed by it, and to respond thoughtfully rather than by reflex. The module provides the foundations of conflict management and has people practise on complicated conversations.
Yes, provided it is dealt with. A disagreement expressed is information: it says what the client really expects, what they did not dare to say before, and where the relationship was fragile. Used positively, it leads to a more solid agreement than if nothing had been said. Handled badly, it stays under the table and resurfaces at the worst moment. The module teaches how to turn these difficult conversations into a moment of clarification rather than a rupture.
