Sales Acceleration & Sales Efficiency

Commercial excellence: your people, your processes, your methods, your tools

A training course is a moment. On its own, it fades. What we are after is of a different order: practical skills, and an equally practical way of using them. Your tools and your processes are not beside the training, they are what anchors it. What was worked on in a role play is replayed there every day, without anyone thinking about it.

And when your tools carry your method, they are the ones that get better: better prepared for a negotiation, better informed about the client and their industry, starting from their issues rather than from your offer. When all that data is collected intelligently, without administration, it truly changes the life of your teams.

Four gears. The result does not depend on the best of the four, it depends on how they drive each other.

What your teams learn, and what your tools do with it

In training, your teams learn precise things. Techniques, sharper than the ones they had, in Value Drive or in Negotiate Smart. Routines, in Social Selling. How to prepare a meeting, in Connect Sphere. And beyond the modules: building a business plan on an account, managing their effort, setting reminders, following up, and staying professional in those follow-ups with the client.

All of this has one thing in common: it produces administration. A reminder to set, a follow-up to write, a plan to update, an effort to log. This is precisely where training evaporates, because nobody has the time to keep that administration by hand.

The gearing is the moment when your AI tools and your CRM take that administration on. The reminder sets itself from what was promised. The follow-up starts from a draft already written. The account plan updates itself from what was said. Effort is counted without being entered. And that is only half of it: the data all this produces then serves to make everyone better, because it shows what each person explores, what they avoid, what they have promised and what they are preparing.

Relieve on one side, improve on the other. The same data does both.

Four gears, one movement

A commercial mechanism is judged on two things: the friction it produces, and the energy it requires for the same result. That is where we work.

Your peopleWhat they know how to do, what they dare, and what they do when nobody is watching.
Your processesKey account governance, effort steering, networking routines, preparation, documentation, meeting reports.
Your methodsThe techniques, the routines, the preparation, the plans, effort management, reminders and follow-ups: everything your teams learn, and which has to be found where they work.
Your toolsThe CRM, transcription, the company assistant, and whatever each person already uses day to day.

The message fits in one sentence: an excellent gear that drives nothing is useless. This is what explains why a successful training course can change nothing, why a well-designed CRM stays empty, and why an AI tool bought by management is never opened. Each time, it is the drive between two gears that is missing.

Where the friction sits

You will recognise it. It almost never comes from a missing skill. It comes from two gears that do not drive each other.

Concessions are recorded nowhere. Six months later, a colleague renegotiates with the same client, starts from a blank page, and concedes a second time what had already been conceded. More is conceded, less margin is kept. Negotiate Smart

The short term eats everything. Tenders, specifications, responses in progress. The medium term waits, the long term is never opened, and the energy tilts towards the reactive and the defensive. Key Accounts

Everyone fumbles alone with their assistant. Without a framework, the good idea found by one never travels to the next. AI for Sales

The manager wears five hats with no cadence to hold them. Team leader, sales director, performance lead, coach, pilot of the numbers. Team governance does not exist, or does not hold. Manage and Coach

What was learnt over three encounters is lost the same evening. Networking happens without having chosen where or how, without preparation, without follow-up. Connect Sphere

Prospecting happens on one front at a time. Without having chosen the industry or the problem, without combining digital and physical, without ever using current clients’ references to open an account. Business Boost

Proposals have never been this good, and the conversation has not changed level. The tools work on them behind the curtain. What remains differentiating is what the salesperson dares to ask, hears, and connects. Elevate Conversations

They do not dare, they do not understand, they cannot translate. Sustainability is a point of differentiation with real budgets behind it, and most salespeople never discuss it with their client’s ESG lead. ESG for Sales

What the tools change: three effects, and a rise in quality

What is achievable in your organisation depends on your internal policies, your agreements with your teams, what your tools allow and which ones you would choose to add. We start from there. But when the gears drive each other, the same three effects come back, across very different clients.

Accelerate

What took twenty minutes takes three. The meeting report starts from a dictation or a transcript, the salesperson proofreads instead of writing. Preparation no longer starts from scratch.

Lighten

Administrative work does not disappear, it changes in nature. The reminder is set from what was promised, the follow-up starts from a draft, the account plan updates itself from what was said.

Focus

The time given back returns to where it produces: preparation, the conversation, the follow-up. And effort becomes visible without being entered, which makes it possible to steer.

Then quality rises, and it shows in precise places. The quality of the proposal, because it starts from the client’s real problem. The quality of the presentation and the exchange, because what was said last time is there. The quality of the internal brief, because it is no longer rebuilt every time. And the alignment of the teams working for the same client, because they read the same account the same way.

Anchoring: the method goes into the tool

It is the simplest point, and the one most often forgotten. When the preparation grid, the debrief instruction and the conversation canvas carry your method, the tool becomes the daily reminder of what was learnt in the room. The salesperson does not have to remember it: they find the method where they work, at the moment they need it.

This holds for each of our modules, and it is what makes them last: a negotiation technique in the preparation grid, a social selling routine in the rhythm of the week, a reading of the counterpart in the account record. We explain it module by module, in each one’s FAQ.

Measurement, if you want it

The quantitative is easy and poor: number of visits, number of calls. The qualitative is what really matters, and it is what the tools make readable for the first time, at regular intervals, by comparing with the previous period rather than starting a diagnosis again:

  • the level of quality of the conversations;
  • the share of meetings in which the targeted techniques were actually used;
  • the depth of exploration, the real deep dives;
  • the change in the content of the conversations;
  • the added value actually brought to the counterpart, and to you;
  • the effective use of what is known about the client, their issues and their ecosystem.

With the same rule as on our methodology page : individual feedback belongs to the salesperson, the manager receives an aggregated summary, and the frequency depends on what you are trying to move. A measurement system that becomes a control system stops measuring.

What does not become a commodity

It must also be said what these tools do not do. As everyone produces impeccable meeting reports and captures information effortlessly, documentary quality stops being an advantage: it becomes the norm. What remains differentiating is the conversation itself. What the salesperson dares to ask, what they hear, what they connect, what they help their client put into words. That is why the difference is made more and more on the human side, on creativity, on the ability to go further in developing the teams. That is the subject ofElevate Conversations, and it is the logical next step after this page.

The question is not whether, but how fast

These tools are going to be rolled out across sales teams. The only open question is how fast each organisation will do it, and with which method inside. Those that install them without a method gain less administration. Those that load them with their method gain a system that learns.

Frequently asked questions

None of these problems is a skills problem. They are gear problems, and for most of them, the tools that solve them are already in your organisation.

How do you motivate salespeople who have already been on training courses and do not want any more?
They are right to be wary: one more course, in isolation, changes nothing about their week. We do not convince them, we take them on board. We get them thinking about their own deals, we bring examples from one industry to another, we bring back enthusiasm with what really surprises them, the use of artificial intelligence for instance. And we show them what makes their life easier from the following week: a CRM that fills itself automatically or semi-automatically from a dictation or a transcript, a brief ready before meeting a company, with the best approach ideas and the right people to see. What they refuse is not to learn. It is to waste time.
We have too much administration, we do not spend enough time selling.
The two sentences say the same thing, and it is the easiest friction to measure. Count the time spent retyping what was said, rebuilding a brief, preparing a meeting a colleague had already prepared. Twenty minutes of data entry become three minutes of proofreading when the report starts from a dictation or a transcript. Preparation no longer starts from zero when what was said last time is there. That time is given back to selling, where it produces. We do not promise that administration disappears: we change its nature. And in most cases, with tools you already have.
We do not see our clients enough.
Two causes, almost always together. Time, eaten by administration, which we have just discussed. And the circuit: contacts met at an event, at a client’s, on LinkedIn, do not come back into the sales process, so the diary does not fill itself. When every contact leaves a trace and triggers a follow-up, and when the manager sees in aggregate where the effort goes, the number of meetings stops being a matter of individual goodwill.
My team meetings are not productive.
Because they review impressions. Everyone tells their week, nobody decides. When the facts exist before the meeting, what was opened with clients, what was promised, what is blocking, it changes in nature: short, and it arbitrates. It is one of the cadences we install with managers, with the effort counters that go with it. Manage and Coach works on it from the posture side, advisory from the governance side.
My salespeople are not well enough prepared.
Because preparing takes a huge amount of time, and nobody has it. The two-page document before a first contact, the company’s structure, who decides, where to get in, the best approach ideas, is produced today in a few minutes from what you already know and what is public. The salesperson proofreads it instead of writing it. Preparation becomes systematic the day it no longer costs anything.
My salespeople do not know their clients.
It is the great classic, and it rarely comes from a lack of curiosity. What was learnt in a meeting was never noted, or was noted three days later, impoverished. When the conversation is captured while it is fresh, account knowledge grows with every meeting: the issues, the people, the ecosystem, what was promised. And it serves the next colleague, not only the one who acquired it.
My salespeople do not connect the client’s need with what we offer them.
They cannot do it if the need was not captured in the client’s words. Once it is, the connection is prepared before the next meeting instead of being improvised during it: here is what you told me, here is what we have for that. It is the heart of Value Drive, and it is what your tools, loaded with your method, make repeatable.
My salespeople do not sell what we ask them to sell.
Often because management’s priority is neither in their preparation nor in their debrief. When the preparation grid carries the offers to push, and the debrief asks whether they were raised, the priority enters every meeting without an extra meeting. The manager sees, in aggregate, what the team opens and what it avoids, and coaches on that rather than on impressions.
My salespeople do not fill in the CRM.
It is the most immediate effect, and often the one that wins the teams over. The report starts from a dictation or a transcript, the salesperson proofreads and validates, nothing leaves without their agreement. A CRM that fills up becomes a CRM that serves: the preparation of the next meeting relies on what was really said, and your other tools work on reliable material. What is possible depends on your CRM, your integrations and the rules you set.
