Sales negotiation training
Valorize Solutions trains B2B sales teams to negotiate with professional buyers: prepare, put a price on every concession, hold their position and close a deal that protects their margin. Based in Glimes, in Walloon Brabant, we deliver face to face in Belgium and around the world, as well as remotely or in a hybrid format, in French, English, Dutch, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Romanian, and other languages on request.
We work on the negotiations your teams are actually handling: a price review, the renewal of a framework contract, a key account that has been stalling for three meetings. Everyone leaves with their next negotiation prepared on a single page.
For anyone who needs to reach agreements with the people around their business: clients, suppliers, partners, colleagues in other departments.
Not everyone is a salesperson, but everyone should have a commercial ear.
If the value has not been established with the client, negotiating means defending a price nobody wants to pay. That is why we first check whether the value is in place, and we schedule Value Drive ahead of the negotiation work whenever that helps.
Preparation also starts with some investigation: who decides, who can say no, what question each member of the committee will ask, and what the buyer will do if there is no deal. A team that knows these answers negotiates more calmly and concedes less.
In a B2B negotiation, the decision is often made in a room you will not be in. Each member of the committee asks their own questions, and the status quo remains a comfortable option: according to Forrester (The State of Business Buying, 2024), 86% of B2B purchases stall along the way. Good preparation therefore aims to find out these questions before the negotiation, and to equip your contact to answer them:
These answers change the negotiation: they show what the deal is worth to each member of the committee, and what the buyer will do without you. That is the buyer’s best alternative, and it is often to do nothing.
Before every negotiation that matters, your teams lay out the whole deal on one page:
These terms are defined in our sales negotiation glossary.
Before every meeting that matters, the case fits on this diagram: your three objectives, your floor and the other side's likely ceiling, the zone where agreement is possible, and the balance of what has already been given and obtained.
From left to right, from the lowest price to the highest.
Every concession is quantified before it goes on the table, and nothing is given without something in return.

We prepare with you: objectives, live negotiations, market constraints. We work with your teams on their own deals, with role-plays against demanding buyers. Then we follow up on how it is applied, with an anchoring session a few weeks later or with coaching on the negotiations that follow.
For fifteen years we have been preparing sales teams for negotiations in very different sectors: IT and telecoms, electronic payments, private banking, pharma and medical devices, agri-food, industry. Our training is rated 4.93/5 in a telephone survey of a representative sample of our clients, carried out by an independent auditor in July 2026. Companies that trust us include Worldline, Engie, LCL, TheFork, Perrigo, Exclusive Networks, Würth and Baker & Baker.

For companies in the Belgian food industry (joint committees 118 and 220), our training can be co-funded by Alimento, which recognises Valorize Solutions as a training provider: up to €150 per day per participant, capped at €450 per day per group. Alimento sets the amount case by case. We prepare the file; on your side, a signature and confirming the link Alimento sends you. More about Alimento co-funding.
Two days for Negotiate Smart, our negotiation module, and one day for Assertivity for Sales. Both can be tailored. Negotiation coaching lasts as long as the deal: a few sessions before a decisive meeting, or several months for a long negotiation.
BATNA (Best Alternative To a Negotiated Agreement) is your best fallback: what you will do if there is no deal. It sets your walk-away point. ZOPA (Zone Of Possible Agreement) is the range where your limits and the other party’s overlap. If there is no ZOPA, no concession will save the deal. Both should be worked out before the negotiation, for your side and for the buyer’s. More definitions in our sales negotiation glossary.
Prepare the negotiation as you would an investigation: who decides, who can say no, what each member of the committee needs to be able to defend internally, and what the buyer will do without you. Professional buyers are trained to extract concessions; they respect a counterpart who knows the value of what they offer, puts a price on what they give and asks for something in return.
Two causes come up most often. The first is preparation: a concession that has not been priced in advance gets given away by reflex. The second is assertiveness: many salespeople say yes when they mean no, to protect the relationship. Negotiate Smart works on the first, Assertivity for Sales on the second.
Training gives a team a shared method. Negotiation coaching applies it to a specific negotiation, with the people who are running it. When an important negotiation is already under way, coaching is often the best place to start.
Yes. Negotiate Smart is also delivered to purchasing teams, and negotiation coaching supports them in real negotiations with their suppliers and subcontractors. The tools are the same, seen from the other side of the table.
Yes, and that is often where the gain is greatest. A project manager negotiating a change of scope, an R&D manager dealing with a partner, a finance manager discussing payment terms: each of them has to reach agreements with the people around them, without ever having been trained to do so. The method is the same, applied to their own situations. See also sales for non-sales.
In part, and Negotiate Smart draws on them. Crisis negotiators, the best known of whom is Chris Voss, have formalised listening techniques that are very useful in sales negotiation: mirroring (repeating the other person’s last few words), labelling (naming what they seem to be feeling), open questions that get them looking for the solution with you, and silence. These techniques help you understand what the other party is not saying, and they can be adapted to a relationship that has to last beyond the deal.
Face to face at your premises, in Belgium or abroad, or remotely or in a hybrid format. In French, English, Dutch, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Romanian, and other languages on request.
It is always tailor-made. The price is set by the preparation, the follow-up, the delivery format, and the scope and complexity of the project, whatever the number of participants. We are happy to give you a concrete figure as soon as we know your situation.
