Brief overview

Great trainers transfer knowledge. The best ones also know when to stop telling and start asking. The “Coach Posture for Trainers” module gives your internal trainers and experts a deliberate coaching posture: a way of having conversations that draws out potential rather than dispensing answers, in the training room, in 1:1 debriefs and in peer reviews. Anchored in an ICF-aligned coaching methodology and the BRIC and AME frameworks, it is the natural companion to our “Train the Trainer” module: one sharpens how your trainers teach, the other deepens how they grow people. Trainer-participants do not practise on fictional cases: they coach and are coached on real situations from their own daily practice. For Sales Enablement and Sales Efficiency teams, it is the coaching layer that makes sales enablement training stick long after the session.

Course content

Expert, trainer, motivator, coach: trainer-participants discover which posture fits which situation, and how to switch consciously rather than by default.

Coaching here is not a profession, it is a stance: a way of having conversations that draws out what people already know but do not yet mobilize.

Be kind, Respect, Involvement, Confidence: the relational quality that makes real coaching conversations possible, in the room and beyond it.

Action, Method, Emergence: the operational arc that turns a coaching conversation into visible progress and concrete commitments.

Practical techniques, immediately usable in 1:1 debriefs after a training session, in peer reviews and in post-client conversations.

The escalation of complexity: how far to tolerate, when to redirect, and how to stay demanding without becoming directive.

Building sustainable peer-coaching reflexes, so your trainer community keeps developing itself with progressively less external support.

Frequently asked questions

Because they need to renew themselves and be confronted with new techniques. Many struggle with artificial intelligence, and many stay in the expert-trainer posture: many hours spent for limited impact. These modules work on posture, method and tools. And your internal trainers are the gear that multiplies everything else: if they carry the same method and the same tools as your teams, every session pushes the same behaviour. This is what we call the gearing: your people, your processes, your methods and your tools driving each other, with as little friction as possible. We work on this part separately, in advisory, before the training or after.

Training is bringing what the other person does not have. Coaching is helping them find what they already have, or build their own answer. An internal trainer needs both, and needs to know when to switch from one to the other: that is the subject of the four postures the module works on. The coach posture, in particular, requires listening, questioning and giving feedback without taking over, which is harder than it looks for an expert.

By holding the space rather than filling it. A clear framework for the session, a structure for every exchange, and the discipline to let the participant do, get it wrong and correct. The module provides these frameworks, and has people practise peer co-coaching, which builds participants’ autonomy instead of dependence on the trainer.
